<div style="margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">I am so excited to be part of this blog hop. Since my beginning with Close to my Heart, I have been wanting french stamps. I am so happy that we now offer a variety of french stamps. I jumped at the opportunity to finaly create something with them. </span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">So I decided to make some cards using the leftovers from the <a href="http://jocelyne.closetomyheart.ca/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=9786&ci=7898">Hello Lovely Workshop Your Way kit</a>. I had enough leftovers to make 3 cards. Here they are :</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHf7py1_MsisgFG5Gsx3sclSNCPPQZwr2E2uFNjOMqP4kWhjrJ569gm_fDgWdhKdWlYeZjy5h6s0YxbUOZ55DoDO9VDJuNJVP-JZ7zw-axnTQyWnwYIonZX4AxJLIwESGzuU3WGtIh9vw/s1600/FullSizeRender.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="295" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHf7py1_MsisgFG5Gsx3sclSNCPPQZwr2E2uFNjOMqP4kWhjrJ569gm_fDgWdhKdWlYeZjy5h6s0YxbUOZ55DoDO9VDJuNJVP-JZ7zw-axnTQyWnwYIonZX4AxJLIwESGzuU3WGtIh9vw/s400/FullSizeRender.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Along with the Hello Lovely paper and ribbon that was in the kit, I also used <a href="http://jocelyne.closetomyheart.ca/retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=9702">Happy to be friends </a>(<span style="color: #5a5050; font-family: Roboto, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">C1605F) stamp set, Topiary ink and Sweet Leaf cardstock.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmmoKtsu-LdtnRRPQblXuW8Y1dAWiSC_hTN83gfLmx9PpR5XB1Hz-Tg0SqTA3guxtbcJd9Ruglua7ksMv09k3D8vYNZO_9s1ZTnsdBJz_LT29CVADyh3qmY-skrjdtdFUKdYM4htrs8u0/s1600/FullSizeRender_1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="323" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmmoKtsu-LdtnRRPQblXuW8Y1dAWiSC_hTN83gfLmx9PpR5XB1Hz-Tg0SqTA3guxtbcJd9Ruglua7ksMv09k3D8vYNZO_9s1ZTnsdBJz_LT29CVADyh3qmY-skrjdtdFUKdYM4htrs8u0/s400/FullSizeRender_1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">The same suppies were used to make the above card as well. Love how the Happy to be friends stamp set is so versatile!</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYk6NPV1ksz3gHu750DChVRXzXdR_y4pLnzZaL1Q6yEVqdbScxLmo-BUm0T2QEwqh-PvahmVeIrXyW-rLz_gA4Qre2nqcevq1hyAL6m2FWdpH68VsLzwRnGof2Wasf5ffhSSAsbWsfeNU/s1600/FullSizeRender_2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="301" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYk6NPV1ksz3gHu750DChVRXzXdR_y4pLnzZaL1Q6yEVqdbScxLmo-BUm0T2QEwqh-PvahmVeIrXyW-rLz_gA4Qre2nqcevq1hyAL6m2FWdpH68VsLzwRnGof2Wasf5ffhSSAsbWsfeNU/s400/FullSizeRender_2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">For this card, I used the Happy Heart french (<span style="color: #5a5050; font-family: Roboto, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">A1192F) stamp set. Isn't it pretty? </span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Here are the two stamp sets I used </span><br />

<br />
I am celebrating another victory today. At the risk of once again jinxing myself, my platlets counts have been stable and high for 3 months now. I saw my hematologist yersterday and he was very happy with the results. I am to go for blood tests every second month and will follow up with him in 6 months. If my platlets stay up, I will see him yearly. Fingers crossed!<br />
Life has been busy these last few months. I had a few setback professionaly, we adopted a dog and we welcomed a new exchange student into our home. I don't have many scrapbook layouts to share with you, but I hope to be able to share a few next week. In the meantime, here is one on my favorites from this fall<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjX3CATDEarl6VYFg17nrCWMfFPIgxRXngWBPLeap_FPsZHltsXhEdEWOyrDVmKBEGdR0f56dR42PgWXxbTrPs1aTKC1XBqfDqkYzZNGYZJl4ck_3LAgnIOTmLLPDIQCjwixWeHZn703uA/s1600/WP_20151202_005.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjX3CATDEarl6VYFg17nrCWMfFPIgxRXngWBPLeap_FPsZHltsXhEdEWOyrDVmKBEGdR0f56dR42PgWXxbTrPs1aTKC1XBqfDqkYzZNGYZJl4ck_3LAgnIOTmLLPDIQCjwixWeHZn703uA/s640/WP_20151202_005.jpg" width="624" /></a></div>
<br />
I pride myself in being a positive person, but in September, after facing another fall in platlet levels and after losing half of my clients at my dayjob, I had trouble seeing the positive side of things. I was scared and sad and felt broken and defeated. I was watching a favorite daytime talk show of mine and they were discussing how the phrase "everything happens for a reason" was overused. They were saying how we say it almost automaticaly to give ourselves and others comfort and we don't really think of the meaning behind it. Some were saying that it simply is not true, basically a lie we tell each other. I tend to disagree somewhat. I don't think that we all deserve the challenges that are put in front of us, but I do think that we can learn from all of them. I think the challenges sometimes gives us the opportunity to make things better. That instead of feeling helpless, we can always find something to be thankfull for, that in living the sadness we can fully appreciate the happy times. I can now say that I lived through one of the toughest year of my life and I can take from it a new clarity. I am a stronger person now. It has helped me put things in focus and made me appreciate my life, my family, my friends, my job and my body so much more. I am ready for whatever come my way and look forward to the end of 2015 and the beginning of a new year.jocelynehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13412781111979067562noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7069484845910098680.post-68736331697834751212015-09-22T14:44:00.000-03:002015-09-22T14:47:05.703-03:00Roller CoasterWell, what a year it has been so far. Remember last blog I wrote? My hematologist saying that the risk of me having another flare up was low? Well I think he jinxed it, because I was in the hospital again a couple weeks later, my platelets had dropped to 14 (reminder : a normal count is above 150). What a roller coaster! The doctor decided to try a treatment designed to have a longer term effect- since this ITP thing was chronic, auto-immune and not a one time thing like he suspected.<br />
The treatment called Rituxan is usually given to athritis patients, but it has shown great results in some chronic ITP patients. The treatment is given once a week by IV for 4 weeks. I responded really well (like suprisingly fast, the nurse was amazed!) to the first infusion and went through the treatment with platlets above normal for a few weeks. By week 3, my platlets dropped again even on the treatment. The doctor thinks it is too early to say if the treatment worked or not- it could take up to 3 months to see lasting results. So now we wait and see. Unlike with the prednisone, I feel great. The side effects, mostly from the steroids that they infused to lower the risk of allergic reactions, were short term. I sleep well and have more energy. <br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtdPUVc47W10WapCuG_T0rN4CM1BjI7W4vS7JUUUR3S8WNFhZeJ4-QICF5RsrEkN3s9ZkDt0rogjH34S9X0OI5kNXBkM3sLeVvM9PQ8On_y1Y-nwaa1Lt3Sa99YMQR3DnL-ZCmP_nrXfM/s1600/WP_20150820_002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtdPUVc47W10WapCuG_T0rN4CM1BjI7W4vS7JUUUR3S8WNFhZeJ4-QICF5RsrEkN3s9ZkDt0rogjH34S9X0OI5kNXBkM3sLeVvM9PQ8On_y1Y-nwaa1Lt3Sa99YMQR3DnL-ZCmP_nrXfM/s400/WP_20150820_002.jpg" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">During my last Rituxan infusion- Smiley got upgraded to a window seat</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
I always thought of myself as positive person who had lots of patience. I can tell you that the past months has tested that patience to the max. Waiting on blood results, waiting to see if my body is going to respond to the treatment, waiting on phone calls. I am also getting a little paranoid, always questioning if a new bruise is a result of a bump or if my platlets have dipped again. Through all this I am smilling. Despite the uncertainty, it is way better than the first flare up and dealing with the prednisone side effects. I am thankfull that I have an awesome support system. I am greatfull that my family has been there every step of the way and helped me keep my mind off the purple dots and bruises and help me focus on what's important. All through this, life has handed me a few more lemons to juggle on top of the ITP but I happen to like lemonade. I will get through this and keep smiling. The doctor is very optimistic and reassures me that there are lots of options available in the event that this treatment does not work. He told me not to worry and that is what I am trying to do. I am now going for weekly blood test to monitor my platlets and will be seeing the doctor for a follow up in 3 months- I'll keep you posted!<br />
A sign that I've been doing better is that I actually scrapbooked! I should make more time for it as it is very therapeutic, espcially when scapping with my amazing scrappy friends. I made a few layout using the new <a href="http://jocelyne.ctmh.com/retail/Products.aspx?CatalogID=112">Zoe collection</a>. I love the colors of this collection and all the coordinating elements are so fun. So cheery!<br />

We had to cancel a week long trip we had planned to Quebec because of my Rituxan treatment. I was really bummed about it, but we did manage to go to Halifax for a weekend during the Buskers' festival. We had a blast!<br />

We also spent some time on the soccer field this summer. I love that my daughter loves soccer so much, and she's quite good at it too!<br />
<br />
That's it for now. I have a few more layouts that I want to share with you- stay tuned! <br />
I still have some idea books in stock if anyone wants one, let me know. <br />
I know it has been a while, I'm sorry for being absent all this time. I simply lost my mojo and have just found it again. I'll begin by warning you that this post will be long. <br />
I am not one to complain, but the first half of this year has been one of the most challenging of my life. <br />
Let me start at the begining. Scrapbooking has been a big part of my life. It has been a sanity saver for me as it helped me escape, be creative and made me focus on all the positives in my life. Being a stay at home mom, scrapbooking has helped me connect with other women and being a consultant allowed me to scrapbook guilt free as it was also a job. About 5 years ago, I hurt my wrist shoveling the driveway. I was diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel Syndrom. It was not bad a first, but I had to sleep with a brace and scrapbooking had become more challenging as using scissors and other tools started to hurt. Last december I underwent Carpal Tunnel release surgery. This was the start of my challenge. Even though my surgery went well, and I healed from my surgery, it started a domino effect.<br />
Shortly after the holidays, I had the stomach flu, shortly after I had a cold that seem to be neverending. In the middle of February I caught a sinus infections. I was tired of being sick, but everyone around me had colds so I did not think much of it. It was cold outside and we were getting snow storms after snow storms after all. For the first time in months I woke up one Monday morning without a headach, able to breath from my nose. The day went by as normal until I brushed my teeth that night and spit out blood. I then noticed bruises on my arms that were not there earlier. I knew I had to go to the hospital.<br />
I was diagnosed with ITP (idiopathis thrombocytopenic purpura) in 2001, but I had not had any symptoms of the disease since I had a spleenectomy that same year. I had forgotten I had it, but staring at my bruises and purple dots on my hands and feet, the memories of that year all came back.<br />
I was not in the same place in my life. I had no kids back then, Nobody depended on me like they do now. I was scared as I sat in the hospital waiting room waiting for my blood test results. I knew when I heard my name though the intercom 30 minutes later that the results were not good. My platelet level were under 4000 ( a normal platelet count is between 150 000 and 400 000) In the span of 2 weeks I had a platelet transfusion, immunoglobuline treatments, prednisone and iv steroid treatments and 3 blood transfusion. I left the hospital with a platelet count of 175 000. Feeling good, but tired with a weening schedule for my prednisone for 6 weeks. I also had to go to weekly blood test to monitor my platelet levels.<br />

Being on high level prednisone is no fun! The worst is the jitters and the axious feeling that I had every day. Then there comes the acne and weight gain and all the other side effects that comes with it. In that 6 weeks, I gained 25 pounds. I was going to bed at the same time and sometimes even earlier than the kids. I was tired, fatigued, anxious and just going though the motions everyday. Scrapbooking was not on the radar. I walked past my scrapbooking table everyday on my way to bed and had no desire to even try to make a layout. My mojo was not lost, it was hiding and I had no idea where to find it.<br />
I was looking forward to the day I was done my prednisone, I was hoping that my life would get back to the way it was before my ITP flare up. The day came and I did feel better for a few days. Then came the withdrawls. I was in bed with fever, nausea, headaches. It was awful!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8MMZaGSbwuC8cxF-OzDSFfDivxrkU6kaz-KXXGIaMZC9e4D1fIZuL4B-Y8HTsvQUrzZO09f-UUFcag6dPqhJGlA_qcIu6xmq8lRMfRl2qdSfTLxOztUu5sV1B4M514YMBmI3BEYahC7E/s1600/WP_20150722_011.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8MMZaGSbwuC8cxF-OzDSFfDivxrkU6kaz-KXXGIaMZC9e4D1fIZuL4B-Y8HTsvQUrzZO09f-UUFcag6dPqhJGlA_qcIu6xmq8lRMfRl2qdSfTLxOztUu5sV1B4M514YMBmI3BEYahC7E/s400/WP_20150722_011.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
All that said, I came over that hump, and I am feeling better everyday, My last platelet count was normal and the doctor thinks that the chances I have another flare up is very low. I still have to go for monthly bloodtests and will be monitored more closely to avoid another flare up. I started watching what I eat and will start training for a 10k run next week. It is frustrating that I have to lose that weight that I worked so hard to keep off for years but it has to be done and I know I will be proud when I attain my goal. <br />
The first half or the year was bad, but I will make the second half make up for it. <br />
All that to say, for the first time in a really really long time, I had not been excited about scrapbooking. All that changed this morning. Where was my mojo hiding? I'll show you!<br />

I received a lovely box of scrapbooking products and hiding in the bottom among client's orders was these little gems! I leafed though them while eating lunch and fell in love with scrapboking again. I can't wait to sit down and create. I can't wait to place my consultant order on the first of August. Can't wait to order more idea books to share with my friends.<br />
Who wants to scrap with me? I'm scheduling a crop at my house soon, who's in? I have a lot of catching up to do!<br />

<br />
This past August, my husband and I went on a trip of a lifetime. We booked a cruise with Celebrity Cruises to the Baltic Seas. We departed from Amsterdam and for 12 days, an interior cabin aboard the Constellation was our home away from home. We docked in 7 different countries. We knew we were going to like our trip, but we never expected to fall in love with the cruise life. Going to bed at night and awaking in another country the next morning was so much fun. I really loved the down time too. I even got to scrapbook!<br />

I had packed in my luggage a CTMH My Crush album. It would serve as my journal. I chose the <a href="http://jocelyne.ctmh.com/retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=7992&ci=1450">Wildwood album</a> and <a href="http://jocelyne.ctmh.com/retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=8030&ci=1517">assortment</a>s as my base, but I also brought with me <a href="http://jocelyne.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=7691&ci=122">Skylark Picture my Life cards</a> and the <a href="http://jocelyne.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=7966&ci=1401">Wanderful complements stickers</a>. Along with those supplies, I also brought with me scissors and a journaling pen. I had forgotten my glue, so one of our first stop was at a grocery store in Amsterdam where I purchased a glue stick (along with other necessities like food, water....).<br />
The Crush album had none of my pictures. I contemplated bringing my photo printer, but finally decided not to. Instead I stocked up on tourist information flyers and other free documents at every port. <br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For the cover, all I added was a few stickers. The Wanderful sticker set had the boat and the getaway stickers, the alpha stickers are from the Wildwood assortments. </div>

I added envelopes on the inside cover to place our receipts and other momentos that did not make it inside the album<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibJPFTCr1NkBpYwBbf4thTQzG8RFM4eFnIBgcyVWR1nXgYRTriKrg9gabjDzRJq0WiqcpxyIzG8rhba_Fd54Ekqi1NUpOO_X66jQdA-6-7GmMRoaD2Uy8NFVzDbPfIHF-YPKNb741ZkOk/s1600/WP_20141003_004.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibJPFTCr1NkBpYwBbf4thTQzG8RFM4eFnIBgcyVWR1nXgYRTriKrg9gabjDzRJq0WiqcpxyIzG8rhba_Fd54Ekqi1NUpOO_X66jQdA-6-7GmMRoaD2Uy8NFVzDbPfIHF-YPKNb741ZkOk/s1600/WP_20141003_004.jpg" height="460" width="640" /></a></div>
I saved everything that was given to us and included it somhow in the album. I don't particularly like journaling, but adding business cards, lists, cutouts of flyers and other documents was an easy way to get the message across without actually writing.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgj1zVCuKwap4IB_efajBAQH4n-GZYSunmtCu3hKOQmvyFKN5X8LKzHTa4UTC5YKswBkjuAeclJR0TdWk9UI8z5UUZUmf1vyxZcWglGPf3MadEPLVZTBYQTccVj_DlsFS0JD76o6wgZa0o/s1600/WP_20141003_005.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgj1zVCuKwap4IB_efajBAQH4n-GZYSunmtCu3hKOQmvyFKN5X8LKzHTa4UTC5YKswBkjuAeclJR0TdWk9UI8z5UUZUmf1vyxZcWglGPf3MadEPLVZTBYQTccVj_DlsFS0JD76o6wgZa0o/s1600/WP_20141003_005.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
I brought journaling cards with me almost everywhere we went. I wrote details like the menu so I did not forget later that night. <br />

After we sailed from Amsterdam, our fist port of call was Warnemunde, Germany. I saved all our train tickets and entry passes. I searched for maps of the region as soon a I stepped out of the boat. I tried to get 2 - one to consult on our trek, one that was carefully placed in my backpack to be cut apart later for my album.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

After a day at sea, our next port of call was Tallinn, Estonia. We were given in our state room every night a destination guide which listed the excursions we could take and gave a list of things to see in the next port along with and a schedule of activities on ship. We actually had 2 copies of each, one in french and one in english. I save an intact copy of each that I placed in a binder, the other copy was cut and pasted in my journal. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I loved that I was also able to reference the pictures in the album one I got home and compare them to my own pictures. <br />

Our next destination was St-Petersburg, Russia. We did not have visas to visit on our own, so for the only time during our trip, we booked a tour. The only way to tour Russia without a visa is if you are on a cruise and you book a tour with a registered tour provider. It turned out to be a great decision since we saw so much more that we could have on our own, and I think for a fraction of the price. <br />

We walked, we took the subway, we went by boat and hydrofoils, we covered a lot of distance! I used the maps from our guides to trace our steps. <br />

I glued an envelope here to place cards and flyers that I did not want to cut. I wanted to be able to take the out and read both sides of the documents. <br />

Our amazing tour guide Maria in St-Petersburg brought each of us a copy of the St Petersburg Times. She made us read this article and then brought us to see it. I had to include it in my journal. <br />

We went to a traditional Russian pie restaurant. Luckily, they had tiny menus. I got to add one to the album.<br />

In Helsinki, we visited the Church in the Rock. An amazing church that was created by blasting a hole into the rocks. It was amazing. They had prayer cards in so many different languages. I added the french one to my album<br />

After Copenhagen, we had a day at sea. Leaving the Baltic and entering the North sea, we encountered some very rough seas. That is why I added a tab from our Gravol box. Waves of 4-5 meters high had someone in need of some Gravol.<br />

I love my album. It was awesome reading it on the plane ride back home, reliving all the moments that I had already forgotten. We experienced so much in those 2 weeks, it was a great idea that I set aside some time every night to journal what we had saw. Otherwise we would never had remembered everything that is in this book. Now when I sit down an work on my picture scrapbook. I will be able to recall what happened on the day the picture was taken. I will for sure bring a My Crush album on my next trip!jocelynehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13412781111979067562noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7069484845910098680.post-34878482826715131722014-10-02T08:51:00.002-03:002014-10-02T08:51:56.931-03:00Blog Tour<span class="_5yl5" data-reactid=".73.$mid=11409877218723=2c436ef321711a0b593.2:0.0.0.0.0"><span data-reactid=".73.$mid=11409877218723=2c436ef321711a0b593.2:0.0.0.0.0.0"><span data-reactid=".73.$mid=11409877218723=2c436ef321711a0b593.2:0.0.0.0.0.0.$text0:0:$20:0">I have not written on my blog in a long time! It does not feel like I wrote that may posts. I still feel like a Newbie when it comes to blogging.<br />
Today I'm going to feature some of the kits I prepared over the last couple months. Every Sunday night is reserved for my scrapbooking time. I open up my space for others to join me and I feature an optional 2 page layout kit every month. I sell the kits for 7$ and it includes everything you need to make the 2 page layout. I still have a few kits of each left.<br />
The first one is this month's layout. It features the new <a href="http://jocelyne.ctmh.com/Retail/Search.aspx?SearchValue=jubilee" target="_blank">Jubilee</a> paper with this month cute Stamp of the month <a href="http://jocelyne.ctmh.com/ctmh/promotions/sotm/2014/ss/1402-wild-about-love.aspx" target="_blank">Wild About Love</a> <br />

The next layout was January's kit. It features the <a href="http://jocelyne.ctmh.com/Retail/Search.aspx?SearchValue=Sarita" target="_blank">Sarita</a> paper. I also made flowers using <a href="http://jocelyne.ctmh.com/Retail/Search.aspx?SearchValue=textile" target="_blank">Sarita textile</a> and some Base and Bling jewels and adhesive dots<br />

The next 2 layouts were the November and December layouts. I still need to get some snow and Christmas pictures developed to finish them. The paper used to make those are now retired. <br />

Has it really been that long since I last blogged! I have been neglecting my scrapbook time I must admit. But I jumped right back in and while attending a crop last weekend I managed to catch the scrapbooking bug again. I also got to play with some of the new products featured in the CTMH Spring idea book.<br />
Here is the first layout I made using the <a href="http://jocelyne.ctmh.com/retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=7648&CatalogID=657" target="_blank">Ivy Lane collection</a>. So girly! I love it! I added some Prima flowers, a Bo bunny flower and metal butterfly and some CTMH <a href="http://jocelyne.ctmh.com/Retail/Products.aspx?CatalogID=2027" target="_blank">Base and bling </a>in purple and pink and <a href="http://jocelyne.ctmh.com/retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=7354&CatalogID=176" target="_blank">wood embellishments. </a><br />

I love my updated house! Now that the renovations are done, and school started again, I now have more time to dedicate to scrapbooking! <br />
<br />
The first layout I want to share with you is my first project with the new LCOM team. I was happy to be a part of the team for another term. This layout was made using Isabelle's wonderful sketch no 36 and uses some new and old Close to my Heart products. I simply love those <a href="http://jocelyne.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=7354&CatalogID=695" target="_blank">2 toned wooden embellies</a> from the Sarita kit. They coordinate perfectly with the <a href="http://jocelyne.ctmh.com/Retail/Products.aspx?CatalogID=2003" target="_blank">Sarita</a> paper and the picture of my kids lying on a blanket in front of me listening to Mercredi Show music. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/WP_20130901_003_zpsc4a58f9a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="390" src="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/WP_20130901_003_zpsc4a58f9a.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
This next layout was the last layout from the last LCOM design team. As a grand finale we were asked to do a double layout! I love double layouts but find I don't do them as often as I don't take as much pictures as I used to. Another fun sketch by Isabelle - no 35. I could not have picked a better kit than CTMH' <a href="http://jocelyne.ctmh.com/Retail/Products.aspx?CatalogID=2002" target="_blank">Laughing Lola</a> to match my pictures. The colors were perfect and the playful background gave the perfect mood for the fun pictures I had. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/0346b2f4-a80f-41a1-a38c-253a47d04998_zpsac5a0733.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/0346b2f4-a80f-41a1-a38c-253a47d04998_zpsac5a0733.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
For both layouts, I added some alphabet stickers from American crafts.<br />
<br />
Now with a little more time on my hands, I hope to be able to update my blog every week. Let's just hope I get to keep my mojo going. See you all next week!Jocelynehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13452059452085392155noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7069484845910098680.post-78429531088373410832013-05-22T15:12:00.000-03:002013-05-22T15:15:41.475-03:00Reno updateI'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! My scrapbook room will be ready in just a few days! I'm hosting a crop on Saturday to celebrate. As for the rest of the renovations, they are progressing. We slept in our new master bedroom for the second time last night. It's not completely done, still a few details to take care of, but it's coming along. We painted our old room which is to become Marianne's room. That room should be done by the weekend too. <br />
<br />
Despite not having a functioning scrapbook area. I managed to make quite a few layouts on my kitchen table, and at LCOM's last crop. Here are a few :<br />
<br />
Fist here is a layout using <a href="http://letscaptureourmemories.blogspot.ca/2013/04/lcom-sketch-17-full-team-reveal.html" target="_blank">LCOM sketch no 17. </a><br />
Zoé loves her rythmic gymnastic classes. These are a few of the pictures my father in law took at one of her classes. I used some Bo bunny and Authentique paper along with some Webster's pages ribbon<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/029_zps54b2792e.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/029_zps54b2792e.jpg" width="393" /></a></div>
<br />
Another <a href="http://letscaptureourmemories.blogspot.ca/2013/05/lcom-sketch-20.html" target="_blank">LCOM sketch</a> was used to make this layout. Zoé is a very affectionate little girl. She's always hugging me. She is my little velcro. I used some Kaisercraft and CTMH to complete this layout<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/001-1_zpse3ccb413.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="397" src="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/001-1_zpse3ccb413.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
We were presented with a few challenged at the last LCOM crop. The first one was a sketch challenge using a <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHQD6HEvnckgZoD8JDGeIrpynEDpB-HaCTj5hoyhTjz_sqSo-FSceUkxs2pq5onfW27dl-_s1ZCO2lWVSrzYGtyUZMMvk8hGvUqM1hGO22RGFsba3UB_dtPoSGSCdhO1d19_enuphtSkw/s320/may13_12x12c.jpg" target="_blank">PageMaps sketch</a> I had just received my Dream Pop kit from CTMH and was eager to use it. Love the colors and the resist cardstock that come with it. I used pictures from when Zoé met her favorite Disney Princess, Merida. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/038_zps067911c8.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/038_zps067911c8.jpg" width="395" /></a></div>
<br />
And this last layout was the result of a one hour challenge. I used some Bo Bunny paper that I flet went perfectly with the pictures. I often bring the little ones I babysit on the bus to go to the library. they love the ride!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/035_zps9b683b02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="391" src="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/035_zps9b683b02.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
I also made a card for a dear friend who celebrated a milestone birthday recently. As I did not have any Graphic 45 paper, I had to settle on this pretty Webster's Pages paper. I decorated it with pretty Prima flowers and leaves. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/028_zps2dab9dd6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="391" src="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/028_zps2dab9dd6.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>

<br />
For this week's layout, I found the perfect picture to go with this Fancy Pants collection. Those two cuties came to my house wearing the same outfit. They are best friends and sometimes seem to speak a language that only they can understand. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/070_zpsa0222f3d.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="397" src="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/070_zpsa0222f3d.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
To complete the layout I used hearts from CTMH's wooden trinkets,
sparkle ribbon, Basic Grey letters and some flowers that I purchased at a
yard sale.<br />

Happy NSD DAY!Jocelynehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13452059452085392155noreply@blogger.com16tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7069484845910098680.post-89881626289757483972013-04-25T15:12:00.000-03:002013-04-25T15:12:17.817-03:00all packed upRenovations are in full swing and everything is going great! Faster than I had originally anticipated which is a great thing as the play room has been temporarily moved upstairs in the living room and my scraproom is either packed up in boxes or in the corner of my room. Everything downstairs has got a new coat of paint and we will be starting painting our baseboards tonight (still don't know what color!).<br />
I still got to do a little crafting in the last few weeks. The first project was invitations to my daughter's birthday party that will be held this weekend. I made this card using a challenge found on the LCOM blog. We had to use more than one stamp set. I used the greeting from B1414 Bonjour Occasions and the princess and gift from the C1414 Little princess stamp sets, both from CTMH.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/003-2_zpse2f5992e.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/003-2_zpse2f5992e.jpg" width="416" /></a></div>
<span id="goog_388885911"></span><span id="goog_388885912"></span><br />
Zoé helped and she made every card special for her friends - no two cards were the same.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/002_zpsbc92e14b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="217" src="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/002_zpsbc92e14b.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
I also worked on this month's kit of the month for my weekly crops. I used the CTMH Tommy collection with the canvas stickers and accessories. I love how the colors are perfect for my Disney pictures. See the chevron strips I made? They were made using two strips of of striped paper that I glued together.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/005-1_zps31cc4e19.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="321" src="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/005-1_zps31cc4e19.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
And the last layout I want to share with you is <a href="http://letscaptureourmemories.blogspot.ca/2013/04/lcom-sketch-15.html" target="_blank">LCOM's sketch no 15</a>. One of the funniest moment we spent at Disney was when my Dad and husband got to share a rocket on the Astro Orbiter. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/028_zpse3bc8016.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="396" src="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/028_zpse3bc8016.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I used Fancy pants paper along with CTMH and Webster's pages accessories and a little MLBOW camera pin<br />
<br />
Now, do any of you have any plans for National Scrapbooking day on May 4th? I'll be participating in a blog hop along with some friends at LCOM. More details to come soon! Have a great day!Jocelynehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13452059452085392155noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7069484845910098680.post-58074788816871771822013-04-04T11:38:00.002-03:002013-04-04T11:44:11.201-03:00Renovation plans<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Our oldest daughter wants her own room. She moved into our tiny guest bedroom for now but you can hardly move in there. So we decided to add a bedroom in the basement and move there. Our daughter will then inherit our old bedroom. We hope to start over the weekend but still have lots to plan. Since out basement is open concept, there are many possibilities, and a few obstacles to overcome. Hopefully it will be done soon and I can show you the before and after. It's exciting!<br />
<br />
Before putting everything away, I had to make a layout using leftovers from my Basic Grey Knee Highs and Bowties that I had on my desk. I made the layout of the month over the weekend and still had all the pretty paper left out. Here are the two layouts I made<br />
<br />
How perfect is this paper with the topiaries and the flowers featured at the Epcote Flower and Garden Festival. They were simply breathtaking. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/IMG_6168_zpsa66c56bc.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="318" src="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/IMG_6168_zpsa66c56bc.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
Checking out our photos from ou Photopass card, we were suprised to see Disney characters were added to some of our pictures. How fun is that! For this layout I used Basic Grey some My Mind's eye for background paper, Doodlbug Design twine and Thickers<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/IMG_6165_zps13d6af6e.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="316" src="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/IMG_6165_zps13d6af6e.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The next layout is from my CTMH kit of the month for March using the Clare collection. I used pictures from our brunch at the Akershus restaurant in Epcot. My daughter insisted we eat there again as it was her favorite from our last trip. She was excited to get chosen to parade around the restaurant with Aurora during the princess promenade.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/034-1_zps43129152.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="318" src="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/034-1_zps43129152.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
The last project I wanted to share with you today is my entry for the LCOM blog featuring sketch no 13 that was posted over the weekend. You can check it out<a href="http://letscaptureourmemories.blogspot.ca/2013/03/lcom-sketch-13.html" target="_blank"> here</a>. I was asked to create a card. As some of you may know, I scrapbook fast. I don't like to leave a project unfinished and when I started scrapbooking 9 years ago, I only did it when my daughter was napping. Everyday became a one hour scrapbooking challenge. I just kept the pace. Well, making cards takes me so much time I feel. I guess with practice I could get better, but not having a picture to start with seems to slow me down. I had fun making something out of my comfort zone and it was cool using up the scraps I had to make something pretty. I'm going to make a effort to make more cards. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/004-1_zps3918809e.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="396" src="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/004-1_zps3918809e.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
Thank you for stopping by! Now don't be shy and leave a comment. :) Have a great day!<br />

I love scrapbooking challenges. They always inspire me and give me a starting point to create my project. <br />
<br />
The first challenge was to create something interactive. I was amazed at the entries for this challenge. They were all so different and some were so creative. I had the perfect pictures to create my interactive layout.<br />
I'm always amazed at how my girls are so very different from each other. It became even more apparent at our dinner at Cinderella's castle. One came in with her Princess Merida dress complete with tiara, the other in shorts, t-shirt and hoody getting the nickname 'princess Casual' from our waiter. One ordered chicken and rice, the other one steak and fries. The funniest example was one their 'decorate your own' ice cream were presented, one just dumped all the fudge, sprinkles, candies on top, while the other one carefully placed the decorations one by one. I just had to take a picture! Here is the finished product using some Crate Paper and sliding journaling tags. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHYUwJbQlRBgDiBw-d3PpShWmYGfKdN6qaiippMGOCmLnNzPbH-04v9S4lY1ZGDc0tZRWwGoZcLW6TVMmRlHogVCvmL5QA8TZNQCsJAZqW4UqBOxLsUM7-RAGIJi7P4Dkwcl-G74Bu_j6G/s1600/031.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="397" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHYUwJbQlRBgDiBw-d3PpShWmYGfKdN6qaiippMGOCmLnNzPbH-04v9S4lY1ZGDc0tZRWwGoZcLW6TVMmRlHogVCvmL5QA8TZNQCsJAZqW4UqBOxLsUM7-RAGIJi7P4Dkwcl-G74Bu_j6G/s400/031.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
One other challenge was called 'Something old, new, borrowed and cool'. We were also presented with a sketch to inspire up. For my new, I used some my newly purchased Simple Stories 24\7 collection. For my old, I used a buckle, and metal flower and a tab I had in the bottom of my embellishment box. For the borrowed, I used some of Cecile Lavoie's ribbon. She had losts to chose from :). And finally for cool- I ruffled my ribbon under the title with glue dots, I framed the picture block with twine and added lots of pictures of us posing in front of the Art of Animation statues. another layout to add to my Disney album. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeVNgZMwW3qkuXzP0BOUUD_oRGODEUusbbOD2Eu1A0i_Tnrreiew2H7kbLvlMBMqskK9gqBfudNcbwnHZLwUr5CQC8l4YCM-Q5w0ZwGAmWPYumt0CHiRAE9jiDi9QgAqsVrk3ps8hbbUrq/s1600/020.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="322" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeVNgZMwW3qkuXzP0BOUUD_oRGODEUusbbOD2Eu1A0i_Tnrreiew2H7kbLvlMBMqskK9gqBfudNcbwnHZLwUr5CQC8l4YCM-Q5w0ZwGAmWPYumt0CHiRAE9jiDi9QgAqsVrk3ps8hbbUrq/s640/020.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I actually won a prize for this last layout!<br />
<br />
I would like to thank again Crop and Create and Scrapbook and Cards Today for coming to Moncton and putting together such a wonderful event. Can't wait for the next one!<br />
<br />Jocelynehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13452059452085392155noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7069484845910098680.post-10033428647881010182013-03-27T08:34:00.004-03:002013-03-27T08:35:39.334-03:00Let's get inspired!The perfect way to end an amazing weekend at Crop and Create was to take <a href="http://kellygoree.blogspot.ca/" target="_blank">Kelly Goree's </a>Let's get inspired class. I love her and I love her style. She is such a fun, sweet person. I had the opportunity to have dinner with her just before the class and she is delightful, so nice and so easy to talk to. I hope I get to see her and take some of her classes again. We made 3 gorgeous layouts and like my other classes I took over the weekend, it was easy to just add the pictures and it was complete.<br />
<br />
<br />
We used some gorgeous Basic Gray, Bo bunny and WR Memory Keepers to create this two page layout. The flowers were created using four scallop circles that we scrunched together and secured in the middle with a brad. The colors were perfect to showcase my Animal Kingdom pictures.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/005-1_zpsa9774cd0.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="321" src="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/005-1_zpsa9774cd0.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
For the second layout, we used WR Memory Keepers paper. All I had to do to finish the layout was add this adorable picture of my daughters with Chip and Dale. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/011-2_zps5175ffa2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/011-2_zps5175ffa2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
Meeting the chipmunks was a highlight of my oldest daughter's trip. When she
presented her autograph book to the chipmunks, they made a big fuss
about how they loved the drawing she had made of them. They not only
autographed it, but Dale drew a curly haired representing her. It was so
cute! Here is the inside of her autograph book. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjj1qcDBpFmQKQtfWStF3DL-G2_ZJGMYqu-Y7wAPL3l6Tf4aVp9RdkZ0l_ZJcN0PIefoZ90kecKxbHDa_tLf-LEBwccJQUxuBS62AfS7bts3cdby1yct-IaVUPYR_TKmx2zmjGvWdMJ2Cgk/s1600/002-2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="278" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjj1qcDBpFmQKQtfWStF3DL-G2_ZJGMYqu-Y7wAPL3l6Tf4aVp9RdkZ0l_ZJcN0PIefoZ90kecKxbHDa_tLf-LEBwccJQUxuBS62AfS7bts3cdby1yct-IaVUPYR_TKmx2zmjGvWdMJ2Cgk/s400/002-2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Here is my cover page for my Disney album. The colors were perfect! What more can I say, I love it! This Fancy Pants collection just screams Disney. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/013-1_zps68efc01b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/013-1_zps68efc01b.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I still have more to show you! Can you believe it? It was a very productive weekend to say the least.<br />
Tune in tomorrow! :)Jocelynehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13452059452085392155noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7069484845910098680.post-77290010007547039492013-03-26T07:53:00.001-03:002013-03-26T07:53:59.817-03:00My Mind's Eye Pattern PlaySaturday morning at Crop and Create started out on the perfect note with my Pattern Play class. What a great way to get motivated and start bright and early with an 8AM class. This class was put together by Mind Mind's Eye' Sean Edgar. Unfortunalty, he was unable to attend the event but we had an amazing stand in teacher in Vicki Boutin. The class kit was overflowing with My Mind's Eye goodies. I had so many embellishments left over, can't wait to us them on more layouts.<br />
<br />
Don't you just love this sunny layout! It was perfect for these pictures of my daughter envoying her two favorite rides at Disney : Test Track and Big Thunder Railroad. She is a true adrenaline junkie, the faster it goes, the better she likes it... as long as it's not in the dark.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/025-1_zps654ba8f5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="398" src="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/025-1_zps654ba8f5.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
You are never too old for a Hug! Here's me and my oldest daughter getting hugs from some of the Disney characters.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/026_zps849e2241.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="396" src="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/026_zps849e2241.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
And here's the last layout we created in this class. I am so lucky to have found these amazing ladies. They are the best neighbors a girl could ask for. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/021_zps192529cb.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/021_zps192529cb.jpg" width="393" /></a></div>
The best part of these layouts was that is was so easy to just add a picture or two and it was complete. Thank you My Mind's Eye, Sean Edgar for putting together the class and Vicki Boutin for guiding us through it! <br />
Don't forget to tune in tomorrow for another reveal! :)Jocelynehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13452059452085392155noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7069484845910098680.post-16585808151401938162013-03-25T09:51:00.000-03:002013-03-25T09:55:05.592-03:00Moncton Crop and Create 2013What an amazing time I just had at Crop and Create here in Moncton over the weekend! A room full of ladies sharing the same passion for scrapbooking, a team of fantastic, fun and talented teachers, so much scrapbooking goodies, what more could we ask for? It was just what I needed to get inspired and create, to get my mojo running again.<br />
<br />
I was not only able to attend 3 wonderful classes, I came home with all the layouts completed with pictures and everything! Want to see?<br />
<br />
My first class was Friday night with <a href="http://vickiboutin.typepad.com/" target="_blank">Vicki Boutin</a>. I love her! She's so fun and full of life. We made 2 double page layouts while learning new techniques. We did paper fringing, masking and stamping using stamps and paper cups to make circles and paper piecing using products from My Mind's Eye, Webster's pages, Doodlebug Designs and Hero Arts. I changed it up a bit from her original layout adding Thickers to make a title and using the other side of some of the paper she used. It was so much fun and I got to start adding layouts to my Disney album! How exciting is that!<br />
<br />
<br />
The first layout features pictures from one of my highlight of our Disney trip, our diner at the Be our Guest restaurant. We were so overwhelmed by the decor that we actually forgot to take pictures! Entering the ballroom, seeing the snow falling on the mountains in the huge windows, the music and the gorgeous chandeliers under the painted ceiling left us in awe. The food was the best we had all week. It is definitely on top of our list to do for our next Disney trip.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/014-1_zps674dc3ff.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="323" src="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/014-1_zps674dc3ff.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
The next two features pictures from our our hotel. Art of Animation Resort was simply perfect. We loved all the the little details that made this resort magical. We stayed in the Little Mermaid wing where everything is scaled to Sebastian's point of vu, so Ariel, is 3 stories high! Our room was decorated in mermaid theme- see bottom carpet, Ariel's grotto shower, Octopus hooks for our jackets, shell shaped chairs and bed. It's just too bad that the weather was too cold to take advantage of the pool. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/018_zps2ba991b1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/018_zps2ba991b1.jpg" width="391" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/019_zpsec283d38.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="397" src="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/019_zpsec283d38.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<span id="goog_2041886341"></span><span id="goog_2041886342"></span><br />
<br />
Come by again tomorrow to show you what we made in my Pattern Play class. Wednesday I'll show you my completed layouts from the Let's get Inspired class by Kelly Goree and Thursday I'll show you the other layouts I made using the challenges we were given. It was truly an inspirational and very productive weekend! <br />

It was not as warm as we had hoped, and my park visiting was cut short by one day due to sickness, but in spite of that we had so much fun that we are already planing our next trip. I loved staying on Disney property and the Art of Animation resort was simply amazing. My photos have been sent to be developed, so expect to see some layout posted in this site next week. <br />
<br />
In the meantime I have a couple layouts to show you. The fist one was for my assignment with <a href="http://letscaptureourmemories.blogspot.ca/2013/03/lcom-sketch-11.html" target="_blank">LCOM using sketch no 1</a>1. The sketch was originally intended as a card sketch, but I made a 12X12 scrapbook layout with it. I found this picture while cleaning my scrapdesk. I have no idea what it was doing out since this picture is 9 years old. It's of my oldest daughter's baptism and she's being held by her great-grandmother who passed away a few years later. Kaisercraft and Webster's pages paper were used and I embelished with Thickers, and lots of Prima flowers. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsD5G_6BnHKVOX6aKqmzoISHtWwZfZ9NVIb59tsyNvGck7Wipd2IxUB2UKy1ALQinRgaAIhB9Lv9_4ZBlIpoEdlJKpI4X3lBIOaqpMkaCFR20ZHV-3xmZj1z4zxWgHQGkgAKAnH7hB2gWs/s1600/004.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsD5G_6BnHKVOX6aKqmzoISHtWwZfZ9NVIb59tsyNvGck7Wipd2IxUB2UKy1ALQinRgaAIhB9Lv9_4ZBlIpoEdlJKpI4X3lBIOaqpMkaCFR20ZHV-3xmZj1z4zxWgHQGkgAKAnH7hB2gWs/s400/004.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The second layout features my youngest daughter having her hair cut. She donated her ponytail to <a href="http://www.pantene.com/en-CA/PanteneBeautifulLengths/Details/beautiful-lengths-about-the-program.aspx" target="_blank">Beautiful Lengths</a>, an organization that makes wigs for women suffering from cancer and other diseases. It was her idea and I was so proud that she went through with it. I find her so cute with her new hairstyle! I used Bo Bunny's new Country Chic along with some Webster's pages adding some kaiserkraft and CTMh bling as well as Prima, CTMH and Recollection blooms<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJQ-XUdhRzxmId9dkORcB_J6xKR2uovEN9y4Agook6_sddkLbmdjHUxWErJq4c_4j0Gt4_ioh5W12ax1WezCFYI-8UJ0aDD2Jo3ldtO3kZhHNa5bOrJa5aBWLjjNCOT0HT1XXgjsaDpa81/s1600/001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJQ-XUdhRzxmId9dkORcB_J6xKR2uovEN9y4Agook6_sddkLbmdjHUxWErJq4c_4j0Gt4_ioh5W12ax1WezCFYI-8UJ0aDD2Jo3ldtO3kZhHNa5bOrJa5aBWLjjNCOT0HT1XXgjsaDpa81/s400/001.JPG" width="395" /></a></div>
<br />
So like I said, hopefully I'll have loads of layout to show you next week as I'll be attending Crop and Create in Moncton. Can't wait, it's going to be so much fun!Jocelynehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13452059452085392155noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7069484845910098680.post-78041802677216150202013-02-13T12:44:00.000-04:002013-02-13T12:44:03.011-04:00Disney autograph albumsI'm on a roll! I completed 4 more autograph books last night. <br />
The first two I'm sharing with you I blanked out the names of the kids since since they have no idea that they are going to Disney this year. Better be safe and avoid leaking the information. How exciting will it be when my kids realize that they will be sharing their Disney vacation with some of their best friends! <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhsVj4TNbMN1IjDBSJr-7IoufXm3mV4fkMRioAXd3upLJMZYz05MchEOi-QHcmrn9ccaNByMPbZ6_7Sy0G6uzkZxgIEJXGJg-If2a17R0NKvvtVzm1uH9ZR_dJnh8Z6xQSdcGgsSA1RM6H/s1600/001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="207" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhsVj4TNbMN1IjDBSJr-7IoufXm3mV4fkMRioAXd3upLJMZYz05MchEOi-QHcmrn9ccaNByMPbZ6_7Sy0G6uzkZxgIEJXGJg-If2a17R0NKvvtVzm1uH9ZR_dJnh8Z6xQSdcGgsSA1RM6H/s320/001.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
And since I posted the original one on facebook, A friend of mine asked me to make one for her daughter. While i had the Modge Podge out, might as well make an assembly line and make them all at once! How fun! Nothing like making a craft mess to pass a Tuesday evening.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIPVFP70vrPwdzvS0dx852dFpxYAPc1r1sqeIaYLmbA9TEdxITdnfDpkl-W9NocpQ4-Z2A1ov_dH_ctaw1PV36YYUcB03yDVqib2JYAk1nw0HLtlZeRzXPSfebLAUr7tFhuuA2iCmDSfLT/s1600/003.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="227" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIPVFP70vrPwdzvS0dx852dFpxYAPc1r1sqeIaYLmbA9TEdxITdnfDpkl-W9NocpQ4-Z2A1ov_dH_ctaw1PV36YYUcB03yDVqib2JYAk1nw0HLtlZeRzXPSfebLAUr7tFhuuA2iCmDSfLT/s320/003.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And then finaly, my other daughter's book. she asked that Donald be on the front page. I had originally only planned on making one book that the girls were going to share, but Marianne informed me that she would like to take the album with her when she moved out, when she was an adult, and it would be easier if we both just had one that way we would avoid a conflict. Being only 9, I asked her if she was seriously already thinking about moving out and she informed me that she would move out, but not too far as so her kids could come visit anytime! She is growing up way too fast!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVCtHtcRMJo3j6Scal1AAkyWl9esLVecSsVPt_8WpyXSxC87iHUtf8drF2m7JnI_4n6_Q8_rG8Wugy3InZOe2Ild8-5QCO-WuNHvSUhtoOZPqkO1_ADhhdm2nRZDmDJG9EJP1mKABJuhXu/s1600/002.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="311" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVCtHtcRMJo3j6Scal1AAkyWl9esLVecSsVPt_8WpyXSxC87iHUtf8drF2m7JnI_4n6_Q8_rG8Wugy3InZOe2Ild8-5QCO-WuNHvSUhtoOZPqkO1_ADhhdm2nRZDmDJG9EJP1mKABJuhXu/s320/002.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And there they are! My youngest daughter has started making a list of the characters that she would like to meet. She plans on drawing them in her book and making the characters sign above their protrait. I though that was an excellent idea. I also plan a having the characters sign on the right hand side and placing a picture of my daughter and the character on the left hand side. Can't wait to get started on collecting those autographs!<br />
<br />
I'm also taking orders, If you would like me to make you one, let me know. <br />
Have a magical day!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Can't wait. I think I'm more excited than the kids. I've started to pack the bags and figure out what we need and even went on a little shopping spree to buy cute little outfits (and a bikini!) fit for Florida weather.<br />
<br />
We have involved the kids as much as we can in the planing and one thing they wanted to do this time that we did not last time was collect autographs. I went to the store and purchased a small sketch book and I decorated one last night. It was so much fun and less than half the price than the Disney autograph books that they sell in the parks. Plus it has way more pages and are one of a kind.<br />
I have one down, and I'll be completing the other one today<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjdifDdswaUmBiFMXsVyKEnxCLTWu6xunNjJL036kyCGT3NPU_pGlDNoPdx0_7r_RB8nLhmavZ4iwMK3whUhseUNCSEq_xits6NQsANaIc9157qFvHa6bMALvtIV5hUER_X4B7sFcOrBiO/s1600/002.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjdifDdswaUmBiFMXsVyKEnxCLTWu6xunNjJL036kyCGT3NPU_pGlDNoPdx0_7r_RB8nLhmavZ4iwMK3whUhseUNCSEq_xits6NQsANaIc9157qFvHa6bMALvtIV5hUER_X4B7sFcOrBiO/s320/002.JPG" width="313" /></a></div>
I also complete a few layouts for Let's capture our Memories here is sketch no 3. I used son CTMH paper and cardstock, a Bo bunny bloom and some Websters pages trim<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipSTUpTQUa0jhmET9c2c0ODFU5grEZQBrdUzbBwtN-lQk9AHljxIuwK_kWl8FqiI0eJw3GEq9BEHyfHo8wd0YnkhU_cnNvoRmohmyFUCBi3_2Ro5d8dmsAtVA1EdlR23mIT-fZHPDbPYRX/s1600/017.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="318" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipSTUpTQUa0jhmET9c2c0ODFU5grEZQBrdUzbBwtN-lQk9AHljxIuwK_kWl8FqiI0eJw3GEq9BEHyfHo8wd0YnkhU_cnNvoRmohmyFUCBi3_2Ro5d8dmsAtVA1EdlR23mIT-fZHPDbPYRX/s320/017.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
and here is sketch no 5. My first 8X11 layout. It was fun to make something different. I used some Bo Bunny paper, blooms and stickers, a few My little bit of Whimsy bees and CTMH bling <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I have started my Sunday night crops and layout of the month club also. I love having a day dedicated to welcoming friends into my scraproom. It's fun sharing ideas and just talking with fellow scrapbookers.<br />
Here is my layout for February using the new CTMH Buzz and Bumble kit. I love the new Seals and wooden embelishment sets! <br />
<br />

I had a idea of making a layout with both of our kindergarden class pictures. So as i was looking through past pictures of myself and of my girls I could not help but have a smile on my face. Happy memories all around. Here is what I created<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht5rjK8wluB0cUrktG_DrwJsWUMCJe6YPaflwXj_tc3mYY7mYNigwOsqFTd8DMzmBCl1vgYqv5gdBjEwtL3raqnbKKLDmUoX6Q-p4YH60uIrQuP6P_bvaaQfj6mWzAPhddDlX_6v-xya6T/s1600/004.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht5rjK8wluB0cUrktG_DrwJsWUMCJe6YPaflwXj_tc3mYY7mYNigwOsqFTd8DMzmBCl1vgYqv5gdBjEwtL3raqnbKKLDmUoX6Q-p4YH60uIrQuP6P_bvaaQfj6mWzAPhddDlX_6v-xya6T/s400/004.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
Using the same Basic Grey collection I created this layout of me at my grandparent's house at my second birthday. I have such fond memories of that house and the view we had from that window. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3XA7YK8cQZJ3D_q0vC8C6cPqliXq43OW-9SPo-Xw_iGzPJsMBTcOByvReSEvX0AEZS7q5UY6mPjxFfwwoXgs8Dd3XZ_2spld1vS5pi53bI5ts5vn-Mx7-YD2DQSkGP_8cYKYKYC8mrvYA/s1600/010.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="397" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3XA7YK8cQZJ3D_q0vC8C6cPqliXq43OW-9SPo-Xw_iGzPJsMBTcOByvReSEvX0AEZS7q5UY6mPjxFfwwoXgs8Dd3XZ_2spld1vS5pi53bI5ts5vn-Mx7-YD2DQSkGP_8cYKYKYC8mrvYA/s400/010.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
And again from the same collection I made the following layout. I was excited to see that the background paper was vintage map of the Maritimes in french! I could not cover it up so I used a collage from Basic Grey's Clippings and added a picture of my handsome husband taken during our trip to NY last year. A very easy layout but I love it!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiRyB0fhRAAEhB0t0dwoVFeLLtRO1thwEAvF3PI89ZPQPdpsW5iKCxPkDcAkfNvVoEumPnJoHLHhwfe9COIWG8ekYRuXw25CrRNjvd0jNNR8KCpPWw_x_ojuPkBIdlCIh1EC40Qj2zMDcq/s1600/002.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="392" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiRyB0fhRAAEhB0t0dwoVFeLLtRO1thwEAvF3PI89ZPQPdpsW5iKCxPkDcAkfNvVoEumPnJoHLHhwfe9COIWG8ekYRuXw25CrRNjvd0jNNR8KCpPWw_x_ojuPkBIdlCIh1EC40Qj2zMDcq/s400/002.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Now let's see what I can create with the rest of the collection pack. :)Jocelynehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13452059452085392155noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7069484845910098680.post-61451639318247108342013-01-14T10:06:00.001-04:002013-01-14T10:10:58.643-04:00Reliving ChristmasFirst of all Happy New Year!!! I took some time off from everything suring the holidays and it was quite refreshing. I'm only now getting in the routine of things again now that school, daycare, gymnastics and swim classes all started again. I had even taken a break from scrapbooking! Lukily<br />
I had the chance to scrap with a group of very special scrappy friends to help me get into the swing ot things again. It felt so good to sit around a table and just talk and scrap. We even took a break to drool over some of the reveals that were posted during the CHA. It motivated me to start using my stash and create to make room for all the goodies I'm going to need.<br />
I then relived Christmas sifting through the picture that were taken during the holidays. Here are some of the layout I was able to complete :<br />
<br />
My first layout if inspired by Isabelle Doucette's LCOM sketch #1. I used some older Basic Grey. It seemed like the perfect paper to showcase a couple of BFFs with their matching dresses.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBuPLGz_qEfdjkoG1vrf-c2SAWguHXqS-HgpDZOKb7EN7cpf94fPqm9uuz1CH_p5tPl-AERBYO8FKAk2qViN-5CaEhxczSZoa65LR4HD-hnpcl7Mzs19h1Bjm9y_glm-QcyZmUzErVvVtJ/s1600/039.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBuPLGz_qEfdjkoG1vrf-c2SAWguHXqS-HgpDZOKb7EN7cpf94fPqm9uuz1CH_p5tPl-AERBYO8FKAk2qViN-5CaEhxczSZoa65LR4HD-hnpcl7Mzs19h1Bjm9y_glm-QcyZmUzErVvVtJ/s400/039.JPG" width="395" /></a></div>
<br />
The next 2 layouts feature pictures taken at my parent's house. The second one only has CTMH products. I love the glitter alphas and the matching chipboard die cut stickers. The fist one uses paper from the same collection but I embelished it by using a Bo Bunny blossom, Prima chipboard and accent flowers, Thickers as well as some trim from Webster's pages<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcPxhHYuYIhkDdiBdRZYtOOPDJodU-vFymdq4vHeOjo8R8qeJpreVi7vLhuawlmxyUHo-MF7pQRwNEQzuWMCAu4bfPP1jkIzh6tq47wpBRyLGp-pqgn5PCuCbHQXIAU63TMu3Wr7uGbRG9/s1600/015.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="396" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcPxhHYuYIhkDdiBdRZYtOOPDJodU-vFymdq4vHeOjo8R8qeJpreVi7vLhuawlmxyUHo-MF7pQRwNEQzuWMCAu4bfPP1jkIzh6tq47wpBRyLGp-pqgn5PCuCbHQXIAU63TMu3Wr7uGbRG9/s400/015.JPG" width="400" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbozqYe8kYaiane0uPBc6v-YU34uUUxRP0a7EprgnL1SmX_FU71AoJHlXSh-fC9cxt4HCJCFBwY8eX15e40BCFlt35rx5JfUc5O83O_TRAcAnZhCTLux5RWQalB-eOZbH-bfJO0vwvVQhq/s1600/009.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbozqYe8kYaiane0uPBc6v-YU34uUUxRP0a7EprgnL1SmX_FU71AoJHlXSh-fC9cxt4HCJCFBwY8eX15e40BCFlt35rx5JfUc5O83O_TRAcAnZhCTLux5RWQalB-eOZbH-bfJO0vwvVQhq/s400/009.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
The girls taking a TV break waiting for everyone to be ready to open the presents. they were so patient and I just had to take a picture of this moment of calm before the storm of wrapping paper that was about to hit. I used the Gorgeous Serenade collection by Basic Grey as the base for this layout along with Kaisercraft bling and Prima flowers<br />

Thanks for looking! As I'm writing, I'm watching the kids watch Mickey's twice upon a Christmas with a bowl of popcorn. A great way to start another Christmas party! I love this time of year. The kids are so happy, anticipating Christmas morning and all the treats they are going to enjoy. I feel so blessed and happy.<br />
Let me now share a few layouts I made since I last posted. <br />
<br />
Today was reveal day over at <a href="http://letscapturethesesketches.blogspot.ca/" target="_blank">Let's Capture our memories</a>. Here is what I created with sketch no 163:<br />
<br />
<a href="http://s1160.beta.photobucket.com/user/Jocelyne_Roy/media/bulledegoop_zps4591db7a.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img alt="bulledegoop_zps4591db7a" border="0" src="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/bulledegoop_zps4591db7a.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
Last week's reveal featured sketch no 162. I loved this sketch and I had the perfect picture and paper to use it with! I love this kid!<br />
<a href="http://s1160.beta.photobucket.com/user/Jocelyne_Roy/media/036.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img alt="smile" border="0" src="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/036.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
And here is another layout I made inspired by LCOM's 12 days of Christmas preparations challenges. We had to use a house element on our layout. I used window :) I used some Simple stories paper and wanted small pieces to make the banners on the side but did not want to cut into my 12X12 paper, so I used the title sheet, the packaging. Love the fact that they are glossy as well. Matches with my daughter's shining personality :)<br />
<br />
<a href="http://s1160.beta.photobucket.com/user/Jocelyne_Roy/media/017-1_zps6e556ea4.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q483/Jocelyne_Roy/017-1_zps6e556ea4.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
On that note, hope you all have a very merry Christmas and Happy holidays. wishing you all the best for the coming year!! <br />
I love my blog makeover! Thank you so much Kristine Davidson for making it so pretty!<br />
Now that I'm here, i should show you some of the layouts I created since the last post. I managed to create a few Halloween layouts.<br />
The first one is a<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiguyZLLckV6nfLeHNGm3lHPHT_PW5Z_F4yFbbM5mL_hXtrUD55VT_rG9ykzorAhu8D6MvIpZsyX_Ftq9eE5b_7ntTUrqRiiJdnpS7uRX52xoeO6qSvs8Cy6wyeHt1vyzjBuUmq63e9gFM/s1600/Sketch+161+Vicki.jpg" target="_blank"> LCOM sketch,</a> I was featured in the reveal today. I used som My little shoebox. Went perfectly with Marianne's costume.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGZyRO7T9UhCSewDtEdmE2NmG-fUtExIGuTl2Dn03VmAATudLpg_pk-8qN2EisiMwkfhrOkI2KTgb6HFuX9OBOlr-dND7qL_Zvk7MWMPNgpAKalNBWfQLg7OxU9AdiPj6Xn5kGJLfho63Q/s1600/057.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGZyRO7T9UhCSewDtEdmE2NmG-fUtExIGuTl2Dn03VmAATudLpg_pk-8qN2EisiMwkfhrOkI2KTgb6HFuX9OBOlr-dND7qL_Zvk7MWMPNgpAKalNBWfQLg7OxU9AdiPj6Xn5kGJLfho63Q/s640/057.JPG" width="628" /></a></div>
The next one is of the cutest pumpkin I've ever seen! She is such a darling, I love her so much. The Bo Bunny Apple Cider coordinated perfectly too!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvW5vA34jFojcm_r3_aDCcKVhIwQMxN6EVEfSZbZ_Rckjam_GFkDG91yIXknab_A43OIx1mQQPLMPVA7bJP1baPt3xhyphenhyphenKe8__S0oUq47UfEbEYM97S3XyDTW-Yd5NLJY8viSvGpoOeS3y5/s1600/059.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvW5vA34jFojcm_r3_aDCcKVhIwQMxN6EVEfSZbZ_Rckjam_GFkDG91yIXknab_A43OIx1mQQPLMPVA7bJP1baPt3xhyphenhyphenKe8__S0oUq47UfEbEYM97S3XyDTW-Yd5NLJY8viSvGpoOeS3y5/s640/059.JPG" width="632" /></a></div>
And this last one I used some CTMH paper and brads. I love this line as it is Halloween paper, but you could possibly use it for other occasions as well (using the backside of the owl paper of course). I also used embossed stickers I had lying around. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzijNy0I8XCqtmAQUTgBTJJqU5uc4JSdbtnxrofo8YI78v0mY3-2PIqgFG2_6bo0sH1bVBeKLBezZenq89-ifmIRMjBtBAkX5jkAadFU1xt_zL6K80q_XjDZXe3TUFPG4fLEKjGWdV-899/s1600/061.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzijNy0I8XCqtmAQUTgBTJJqU5uc4JSdbtnxrofo8YI78v0mY3-2PIqgFG2_6bo0sH1bVBeKLBezZenq89-ifmIRMjBtBAkX5jkAadFU1xt_zL6K80q_XjDZXe3TUFPG4fLEKjGWdV-899/s640/061.JPG" width="629" /></a></div>
<br />
Well, that's it for now- off to make Christmas decorations. Have a great weekend!<br />
