100th post!

I find it funny that I'm writing my 100th post while my daughter is celebrating day 100 at school today. It does not feel like I wrote that may posts. I still feel like a Newbie when it comes to blogging.
Today I'm going to feature some of the kits I prepared over the last couple months.  Every Sunday night is reserved for my scrapbooking time.  I open up my space for others to join me and I feature an optional 2 page layout kit every month.  I sell the kits for 7$ and it includes everything you need to make the 2 page layout.  I still have a few kits of each left.
The first one is this month's layout.  It features the new Jubilee paper with this month cute Stamp of the month Wild About Love

 The next layout was January's kit.  It features the Sarita paper.  I also made flowers using  Sarita textile and some Base and Bling jewels and adhesive dots

The next 2 layouts were the November and December layouts.  I still need to get some snow and Christmas pictures developed to finish them.  The paper used to make those are now retired.

I'm back

Woah!  Has it really been that long since I last blogged!  I have been neglecting my scrapbook time I must admit. But I jumped right back in and while attending a crop last weekend I managed to catch the scrapbooking bug again.  I also got to play with some of the new products featured in the CTMH Spring idea book.
Here is the first layout I made using the Ivy Lane collection. So girly!  I love it!  I added some Prima flowers, a Bo bunny flower and metal butterfly and some CTMH Base and bling  in purple and pink and wood embellishments.  

I have also been busy on the LCOM blog.  I was asked to write a Product shuffle- to use Alphas in an unconventional way  here is the layout, go check out the blog for all the details.

New Chapter

The renovations are done!! I love my updated house!  Now that the renovations are done, and school started again, I now have more time to dedicate to scrapbooking!   

The first layout I want to share with you is my first project with the new LCOM team.  I was happy to be a part of the team for another term.  This layout was made using Isabelle's wonderful sketch no 36 and uses some new and old Close to my Heart products.  I simply love those 2 toned wooden embellies from the Sarita kit.  They coordinate perfectly with the Sarita paper and the picture of my kids lying on a blanket in front of me listening to Mercredi Show music.  

This next layout was the last layout from the last LCOM design team.  As a grand finale we were asked to do a double layout!  I love double layouts but find I don't do them as often as I don't take as much pictures as I used to.  Another fun sketch by Isabelle - no 35.  I could not have picked a better kit than CTMH' Laughing Lola to match my pictures.  The colors were perfect and the playful background gave the perfect mood for the fun pictures I had.

For both layouts, I added some alphabet stickers from American crafts.

Now with a little more time on my hands,  I hope to be able to update my blog every week.  Let's just hope I get to keep my mojo going.  See you all next week!

Reno update

I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!  My scrapbook room will be ready in just a few days!  I'm hosting a crop on Saturday to celebrate.  As for the rest of the renovations, they are progressing.  We slept in our new master bedroom for the second time last night.  It's not completely done, still a few details to take care of, but it's coming along.  We painted our old room which is to become Marianne's room.  That room should be done by the weekend too. 

Despite not having a functioning scrapbook area.  I managed to make quite a few layouts on my kitchen table, and at LCOM's last crop.  Here are a few :

Fist here is a layout using LCOM sketch no 17. 
Zoé loves her rythmic gymnastic classes.  These are a few of the pictures my father in law took at one of her classes.  I used some Bo bunny and Authentique paper along with some Webster's pages ribbon

Another LCOM sketch was used to make this layout.  Zoé is a very affectionate little girl.  She's always hugging me.  She is my little velcro.  I used some Kaisercraft and CTMH to complete this layout

We were presented with a few challenged at the last LCOM crop.  The first one was a sketch challenge using a PageMaps sketch  I had just received my Dream Pop kit from CTMH and was eager to use it.  Love the colors and the resist cardstock that come with it.  I used pictures from when Zoé met her favorite Disney Princess, Merida. 

And this last layout was the result of a one hour challenge.  I used some Bo Bunny paper that I flet went perfectly with the pictures.  I often bring the little ones I babysit on the bus to go to the library.  they love the ride!

I also made a card for a dear friend who celebrated a milestone birthday recently.  As I did not have any Graphic 45 paper, I had to settle on this pretty Webster's Pages paper.  I decorated it with pretty Prima flowers and leaves.

For this week's layout, I found the perfect picture to go with this Fancy Pants collection.  Those two cuties came to my house wearing the same outfit.  They are best friends and sometimes seem to speak a language that only they can understand.  

To complete the layout I used hearts from CTMH's wooden trinkets, sparkle ribbon, Basic Grey letters and some flowers that I purchased at a yard sale.

all packed up

Renovations are in full swing and everything is going great!  Faster than I had originally anticipated which is a great thing as the play room has been temporarily moved upstairs in the living room and my scraproom is either packed up in boxes or in the corner of my room. Everything downstairs has got a new coat of paint and we will be starting painting our baseboards tonight (still don't know what color!).
I still got to do a little crafting in the last few weeks.  The first project was invitations to my daughter's birthday party that will be held this weekend.  I made this card using a challenge found on the LCOM blog.  We had to use more than one stamp set.  I used the greeting from B1414 Bonjour Occasions and the princess and gift from the C1414 Little princess stamp sets, both from CTMH.

Zoé helped and she made every card special for her friends - no two cards were the same.

 I also worked on this month's kit of the month for my weekly crops.  I used the CTMH Tommy collection with the canvas stickers and accessories.  I love how the colors are perfect for my Disney pictures.  See the chevron strips I made?  They were made using two strips of of striped paper that I glued together.

And the last layout I want to share with you is LCOM's sketch no 15.  One of the funniest moment we spent at Disney was when my Dad and husband got to share a rocket on the Astro Orbiter.

Renovation plans

Our oldest daughter wants her own room.  She moved into our tiny guest bedroom for now but you can hardly move in there.  So we decided to add a bedroom in the basement and move there.  Our daughter will then inherit our old bedroom.  We hope to start over the weekend but still have lots to plan.  Since out basement is open concept, there are many possibilities, and a few obstacles to overcome.  Hopefully it will be done soon and I can show you the before and after.  It's exciting!

Before putting everything away, I had to make a layout using leftovers from my Basic Grey Knee Highs and Bowties that I had on my desk.  I made the layout of the month over the weekend and still had all the pretty paper left out.  Here are the two layouts I made

How perfect is this paper with the topiaries and the flowers featured at the Epcote Flower and Garden Festival.  They were simply breathtaking.  

Checking out our photos from ou Photopass card, we were suprised to see Disney characters were added to some of our pictures.  How fun is that!  For this layout I used Basic Grey some My Mind's eye for background paper, Doodlbug Design twine and Thickers

The next layout is from my CTMH kit of the month for March using the Clare collection.  I used pictures from our brunch at the Akershus restaurant in Epcot.  My daughter insisted we eat there again as it was her favorite from our last trip.   She was excited to get chosen to parade around the restaurant with Aurora during the princess promenade.

The last project I wanted to share with you today is my entry for the LCOM blog  featuring sketch no 13 that was posted over the weekend.  You can check it out here.  I was asked to create a card.  As some of you may know, I scrapbook fast.  I don't like to leave a project unfinished and when I started scrapbooking 9 years ago, I only did it when my daughter was napping.  Everyday became a one hour scrapbooking challenge.  I just kept the pace.  Well, making cards takes me so much time I feel.  I guess with practice I could get better, but not having a picture to start with seems to slow me down.  I had fun making something out of my comfort zone and it was cool using up the scraps I had to make something pretty.  I'm going to make a effort to make more cards.
